Spoiler: My Cellulite Got More Gym Time Than I Did
Let me set the scene: I’m walking into the gym, leggings riding up, anxiety riding higher, and thighs clapping like it’s a standing ovation. Did I want to turn around? Absolutely. Did I still show up? You bet.
This post isn’t about transformation pics or gym PRs.
It’s about wobbling in anyway, doubt and all, and still choosing to nourish myself with something other than a Bar One and Coke combo (even though, let’s be honest, that combo hits every time π).
Sure confidence is mostly mindset …but I’m not ashamed to admit I also give my body a little help.lately I have been using this natural supplement from Nutriprofits and honestly it was been quite confidence boost
Still Showed Up. Still Shaking. Still Worthy.
There’s this unspoken pressure that you have to look fit to even start — like the gym was built for flat tummies and flawless confidence.
But guess what?
I walked in with:
- Stretch marks on my inner thighs
- A hoodie tied around my waist like it’s 2011
- Anxiety doing squats in my brain
And I still moved. Even if it was just 15 minutes on the treadmill. Even if I avoided eye contact with every bro in a stringer vest.
That 15 minutes counted.
It counted because it wasn’t easy.
And because I chose myself anyway.

My Budget-Friendly Wellness Girl Routine (No Fancy Stuff)
We’re not doing imported superfoods and 18-step smoothies over here. This is the real-life, South African, month-end blues edition of wellness.
Here’s what my organic-ish, budget-baddie lifestyle looks like:
- π³ Street vendor eggs — organic enough for me, thanks
- π₯ Avos from my cousin’s garden (zero cost, high flex)
- π Lemon in hot water because it makes me feel superior
- π« Boiled beetroot for iron, not Instagram aesthetic
- π Swapping pap for brown rice sometimes, but never every day (I’m not a machine)
It’s not perfect. It’s not Pinterest-worthy.
But it’s real wellness — and that’s what counts.
When Doubt Creeps In, I Move Anyway
Look, I still question myself.
Am I doing this right?
Is anyone staring at my cellulite?
Does this even make a difference?
And the truth is — I don’t always know.
But I do know that movement helps me feel like I’m fighting for myself.
That scrambled eggs from a real chicken’s bum taste better than takeout.
And that self-worth doesn’t come from six-pack abs — it comes from showing up anyway.
✨
If You’re Waiting for Confidence First — Don’t
Start while your thighs jiggle.
Start while you’re tired.
Start when your gym clothes don’t match and your anxiety says “stay home.”
Because you deserve to feel good — even if the journey is messy and unfiltered.
